The National Police Service (NPS) has launched an examination of a video in which nominated Senator Karen Nyamu allegedly discussed helping a supporter use forged academic documents to join the police force.
The service says it is reviewing the remarks to establish the circumstances surrounding the claims.
In a statement issued on Saturday, October 24, NPS spokesperson Muchiri Nyaga confirmed that the service had seen the video.
According to police, Nyamu appeared to acknowledge knowing a supporter who allegedly used a fake certificate while seeking recruitment as a police constable.
