ODM Party Upset Over Fake News About Oburu Oginga's Health

The Orange Democratic Movement party has spoken out about fake health reports circulating. ODM Communications Director Philip Etale released a statement Tuesday, October 13 asking people to stop spreading lies.

Oburu Oginga's family feels hurt and upset by these false stories. The senator himself is also troubled by people spreading untrue information about his condition.

Freedom of Speech Comes With Responsibility to Others
Etale reminded Kenyans that freedom of expression is a constitutional right for everyone. However, people must exercise this freedom responsibly and respectfully toward other citizens.

"We must express ourselves freely but do it with respect for others," Etale stated plainly. Spreading lies causes unnecessary pain to the senator and his entire family.

Oburu Resting and Recovering From Recent Medical Treatment
The ODM party leader is taking time to rest and recover from treatment. He spent several weeks receiving medical care both abroad and inside Kenya.

Oburu needs more time to regain his strength and health completely. The family asks Kenyans to stop spreading false stories allowing him space to heal.

Stop Circulating Unverified Reports Causing Family Distress
Etale urged the public to stop sharing unverified health rumors immediately. These false reports cause unnecessary suffering to Oburu, his family and close supporters.

"Let us stop spreading false information aimed at hurting others," Etale concluded firmly. Responsible citizens should verify information before sharing it with others online.

Oburu appreciated the continued honor shown toward his late brother Raila. This support from across the country reflects Raila's important contributions to Kenya.

Mudavadi Assured Oburu of Millions Praying for His Recovery
The Prime Cabinet Secretary conveyed messages of hope and goodwill to Oburu. Millions of Kenyans continue standing with him in prayer and support currently.
