In a statement issued on August 11, Raila Junior rejected that interpretation and said the encounter took place at the public Kilgoris airstrip.

He explained that he had just stepped out of an aircraft when local residents recognised him and invited him to greet them.

According to him, the interaction happened in a public area and had no connection to restricted access at the wedding venue.

“The Fence Was for Aircraft Safety”

Raila Junior said the fence visible in the video was a standard aviation safety barrier designed to secure the landing area for aircraft.

He argued that many social media users focused on the image of the fence without considering the location where the interaction occurred.

The clarification came after the clip generated debate about economic inequality, political privilege and the contrast between invited dignitaries and local residents who gathered nearby during the high-profile Koito ceremony.
